I was doing around 200-210 degrees before with the factory tranny cooler fully loaded. I highly recommend getting the biggest tranny cooler you can find because these trannies can generate some heat. Now it has 523k miles and the transmission is still working flawlessly. At the time the truck had 376k miles on it. Other then that it shifted nice and firm because we did the level shift kit. But it wasn’t enough to complain about because it didn’t do it everytime. The transmission had a slight hiccup when it would shift to 4th gear. The transmission was going in a 2500HD with the 6.0L gas that is used exclusively for pulling a 36’ 14k 2 car hauler. Instantly I knew when I looked at the gigantic torque converter that upgrading it was the right thing to do. Upon receiving the transmission it was well crated and boxed and shipped to a local terminal at my request. We purchased a Heavy Duty 2WD 4l80 with the upgraded torque converter on November 8th 2018. Please Contact Us to purchase a proper VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) for your application or if you are unsure if your tail-housing will need to be reused. In most cases, you will be required to swap your original tail-housing (this will NOT void your warranty). Certain vehicle specific tail-housings may not be available with this unit. When you use the manual gear selection feature, the Mega Monster upshifts and downshifts when you move the shift lever, please note, in order to have complete control of the RPM shift timing you must upgrade to a full manual valvebody. In either mode, you get a racetrack shift that bangs through the gears giving you all the right to say "Eat My Shift!". Equipped with a Manual/Automatic valve body, most units allow you to manually shift the vehicle into each gear change or, by placing it in the drive position, remain fully automatic.
